Discover and be dazzled by Leintz Gatzaga. This small town has maintained its original appearance from the 16th century to the present day. The medieval quarter still conserves five of the seven gateways of the ancient wall: the Rosario, Santiago, San Ignacio, Pilar and Barandapea.  In addition, visitors can appreciate the elegant manor houses, mansions and buildings such as Garro, Elexalde, Ostatu or Soran mansions.

Nevertheless, as its name indicates, the origins and development of this town are directly linked to salt. Salt has been and continues to be the lifeblood of the town, therefore a visit to the Salt Museum is an absolute must.

In the surrounding areas a visit to the Sanctuary of Dorleta, patron saint of cyclists, and to the source of the Deba River is also worthwhile.
